Job Description

The role is to facilitate the transfer of residential and commercial infrastructure from the ownership of the housebuilder/ developer to the highway authority, water company or third-party management company. This ultimately releases the developer from long term liabilities along with allowing the financial bond to be discharged. The infrastructure to be transferred includes highways, sewers, pump stations and open space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with various departments of the local authority and water company to ascertain the current adoptable status of the sites infrastructure.
  • Joint site inspections with the adopting authorities representative to agree a comprehensive list of works required to achieve transfer and ultimate adoption of the site infrastructure.
  • Compilation of technical reports detailing all requirements, considerations associated with the infrastructure transfer.
  • Appointment and management of multi discipline sub-contractors in the completion of works deemed necessary to achieve adoption under the relevant agreement types (S37, S38, S278, S102, S104, S185).
  • Liaising with bondsman, solicitors, local authorities, sub-contractors and management companies.
  • Finalising the transfer of the site infrastructure to enable release of the final/vesting certificates and concluding legal transfer.
  • Management of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Candidates should ideally have a background in project management ideally holding a minimum HNC/HND in civil engineer or construction management.
  • A history working for housebuilders or developers with an understanding of construction site activities preferable.
  • Proficient in CAD.
  • UK Work Permit.
  • Full Driving licence.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiastic and models integrity.
